Hello from Inside!  This week’s pickup is:

Stefan Lessard of Dave Matthews Band

This is a newly uploaded program from Berklee College of Music.  When you think of Berklee, you may imagine a school full of aspiring musicians.  In fact, many famous musicians call Berklee their alma mater, such as Sadao Watanabe, Steve Vai, and Quincy Jones to name a few.  However, there are also students who have already established themselves as professional musicians!  Insider never knew that until seeing this program.

Stefan is the bassist of Dave Matthews Band.  He registered to the online course of Berklee (seems like he’s taking several courses), feeling the need of approaching music from the academic (technical?) point of view.  In this 8-episode program, he explains his musical background, how he decided to enter Berklee after already becoming a successful musician, how he juggles between his working/touring life and his studies, etc.  An interesting program not only for DMB fans or aspiring musicians but also for those who are thinking of adding something to their careers and lives.
